För några år sedan introducerade min bror oss för ett rött vin från USA som hette Petite Petit. Vi dricker nästan enbart italienska viner och de gånger som jag har lämnat Italien och köpt från något annat land har de ofta inte levt upp till mina förväntningar. Petite Petit har däremot verkligen levt upp till mina förväntningar och har blivit ett favoritvin hos oss.
A couple of years ago my brother introduced us to a red wine from USA called Petite Petit. We almost only drink wines from Italy in our home and the few times we have left Italy and bought wine from other countries our expectations has not been met. Petite Petit, in the other hand, has really lived up to our expectations and has become a favourite wine.
Det har inte funnits hos våra två lokala Systembolag utan vi har handlat när vi har besökt andra städer, men nu har vi fått ett tredje Systembolag och där finns det. Petite Petit produceras av Michael David Winery i Lodi, Kalifornien.
In Sweden the government has monopoly on selling alcohol via Systembolag and that has reduced the numbers of alcoholics, among other positive effects, in this country. Also, I like that the quality of wine imported are of a high quality even if many still buy the cheapest kinds. We have not been able to find Petite Petit in our two local Systembolag so we had to buy it in other cities, but now a third has opened and they are selling it. Petite Petit is produced by Michael David Winery in Lodi, California.
Petite Petit är ett mycket kraftfullt rött vin vilket vi gillar, Michael David Winery säger själva: – Like elephants whose size is imposing, Petite Petit is large! Vinet består av 85% Petite Sirah och 15% Petite Verdot. Det har smaker av mörka bär, vanilj, choklad och kaffe och passar mycket bra till rätter av mörkt kött eller som ett mycket gott vin för en pratstund framför brasan i höst. Vår vinkällare växer hela tiden och Petite Petit har en given plats i den!
Petite Petit is a very powerful and full-bodied red wine. I like what Michael David Winery says about it: – Like elephants whose size is imposing, Petite Petit is large! The wine is made from 85% Petite Sirah and 15% Petite Verdot. It has flavours of dark berries, vanilla, chocolate and coffee and is perfect with dishes of dark meat and lamb. We like to drink it just as it is talking in front of the fireplace in autumn. Our wine cellar is growing continually and Petite Petit always has a place in it!
