Good and functional technology packaged in a great design is something that I find hard to resist. Recently I found just that combination in Audiopro’s new speaker, the A10.
Bra och funktionell teknik paketerat i snygg design är något som jag helt klart har svårt att stå emot. Nyligen råkade på precis den kombinationen i Audiopros nya högtalare A10. 
The one thing design-wise, that puts this speaker apart from the other speakers in the Audiopro family, is the shape. Whereas Audiopro’s speakers tend to be square-angled and rectangular in shape, the A10 is cylindrical. Still it has Audiopro’s familiar metal control panel placed on the top of the speaker for easy access. There is a new addition in a curved series of leds that visualize the volume level. For the past few years Audiopro’s speakers have revealed their speaker elements and put them on display. Here, instead, they are integrated into the cylindrical shape and hidden behind a layer of textile, that comes in either dark grey or light grey, for easier matching and for a less tech-y and less conspicuous design.
Det som gör att den här högtalaren sticker ut designmässigt från de andra högtalarna i Audiopro-familjen är formen. Medan de andra högtalarna från Audiopro brukar vara rätvinkliga och rektangulära är A10 cylinderformad. Den har i alla fall den välbekanta kontrollpanelen i metall på ovansidan så att man lätt kommer åt den. Här finns ett nytt tillägg i form av svängd serie led-lampor som visar volymnivån. De senaste åren har Audiopro verkligen visat upp sina högtalarelement. Här är de istället integrerade i konstruktionen och dolda bakom ett lager tyg som går att få i antingen mörkgrått eller ljusgrått, så att det blir mindre tekniklikt och lättare att matcha med inredningen. 
Shape-wise the A10 seems to be in good company – just take a look at some other comparable speakers when it comes to size and shape: Sonos Play:1, Apple HomePod, Bose SoundLink Revolve, Libratone Zipp, Beoplay M3 and Beoplay M5.

The A10 comes with the functions that Audiopro has been spoiling us with, such as Airplay, Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, WiFi-streaming, and an aux-connection. Also, there is the Audiopro app for multi-room audio, and you can also combine two A10 speakers to form a stereo pair. According to What Hi-Fi?, the A10 is also equipped with the voice assistant Alexa, even though Audiopro doesn’t state that on their web site. Still, that would explain the ’A’ in the product name.
A10 har alla de funktioner som Audiopro har skämt bort oss med, som Airplay, Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, WiFi-strömning och en aux-ingång. Sedan finns också Audiopros app för multirumsljud och det går även att para ihop två A10 till ett stereopar. Enligt What Hi-Fi? harA10:an dessutom röstassistenten Alexa, även om Audiopro inte säger det på sin webbsida. Hur som helst skulle det förklara bokstaven ’A’ i produktnamnet. 
Technically, the A10 is equipped with a single tweeter and just one woofer, but one with a long throw. It is also accompanied by two passive radiators, so it shouldn’t have any problems with the lower range, just like the rest of Audiopro’s speakers. A comparably powerful amplifier power the setup. This is a speaker that will most often surely be placed on a table or similar surface, but it can also be placed on a wall mount. Anyway it should be an easy-to-place speaker, just shy of 20 centimetres talk and 15 centimetres in diameter.
Tekniskt sett är A10 utrustad med enbart en diskanthögtalare och en bas-/mellanregisterhögtalare. Basen är dessutom förstärkt av två passiva element, så den borde inte ha några problem med de lägre registren, precis som Audiopros andra högtalare. En ganska kraftig förstärkare driver det hela. Det här är en högtalare som troligen oftast kommer att sättas på ett bord eller liknande placeringar, men den kan också sättas på ett väggfäste. Den borde vara ganska lätt att placera, med en höjd på knappt 20 centimeter och knappt 15 centimeter i diameter. 
The Audiopro A10 is a speaker that I have yet to listen to, but so far none of Audiopro’s speakers have let me down, or even come close to doing that. Instead, the Swedish speaker manufacturer have impressed me with great sound that is airy, spacy, distinct and bassy all at the same time. Their multi-room solution and Airplay functionality suits my needs particularly well, and the only thing that I am waiting for now is for Audiopro to update their speakers to Airplay 2. So, Audiopro, when is that coming?
Audiopro A10 är en högtalare som jag väntar på att provlyssna, men hittills har ingen av deras högtalare gjort mig besviken, eller ens varit i närheten av att göra det. Tvärtom, den svenska högtalartillverkaren har verkligen imponerat på mig med fantastiskt ljud som är luftigt, rymligt, distinkt och bastungt, allt på samma gång. Deras multirumslösning och Airplay passar mina behov perfekt och det enda jag väntar på är att Audiopro ska uppdatera sina högtalare till Airplay 2. Så Audiopro, när kommer det?
